Awards

　Akiko Yamaguchi, research staff at AI/DX Research and Development Office, received "The CSED Young Researcher Award" at the 2025 Conference of the Atomic Energy Society of Japan. The award was presented during the award ceremony held on March 14, 2025.
　This award is given to members under the age of 40 who have made outstanding academic or technical achievements in the field of computational science and technology of atomic energy. The achievement "Weathering mechanisms of biotite investigated by the combination of experiment and simulation of XANES spectra" was highly evaluated for its research results in which experiments and calculations of XANES were used complementarily to clarify the weathering mechanism of biotite minerals.
