CCSE Kashiwa office moves from The University of Tokyo Kashiwa Campus to the The University of Tokyo Kashiwa Campus Station Satellite building.

CCSE Ueno office moves to The University of Tokyo Kashiwa Campus.

The Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute (JAERI) merges with the Japan Nuclear Cycle Development Institute (JNC) to create the Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA). In unison, JAERI's Center for Promotion of Computational Science & Engineering becomes the Center for Computational Science & e-Systems (CCSE).
